Each XMRE Blue Line meal has 900-1000 calories and is packed in waterproof shelf-stable package. Blue Line MREs are designed to be basic front line meals for government institutions, law enforcement, emergency responders, medical facilities, etc., but are available to public as well.
All MRE stock kept at 75 degrees to preserve longevity. MREs kept at 70-75 degrees have at least 5 yr shelf life. Unless exposed to extreme heat MRE's are typically edible for many years beyond that as well.
Beware when shopping MRE's - Production Date vs Inspection Date (typically 3-yrs after production).
