(1872-1937) — also known as Walter R. Stone — of Syracuse, Onondaga County, N.Y.; DeWitt, Onondaga County, N.Y. Born September 7, 1872. Republican. Mayor of Syracuse, N.Y., 1916-19; delegate to Republican National Convention from New York, 1924. Died February 22, 1937 (age 64 years, 168 days).
