    Description

    Elinor Guggenheimer Council President
NYC Democratic Primary 1969 Bumper Sticker
Elinor Guggenheimer (1912-2008) was a philanthropist, author and civic leader in New York City.  She was active in women's and elderly causes.  She was also an urban planner and became the first woman on the New York City Planning Commission.  In 1969 she ran unsusccessfully to be the Democratic candidate for the Presidency of the New York City Council.  These unused bumper stickers are from that election.  In 1997 she received the Presidential Citizen's Medal from President Bill Clinton.
These bumper stickers are unused and in very good condition.  They are twelve inches long and three inches tall.
